UPDATE ON HOW TO CREATE, LINK AND VERIFY YOUR WEBSITE AND BLOG

HOW DO I CREATE MY WEBSITE OR BLOG?
In creating your website or blog, do well to follow this few steps.

FOR WEBSITE:
 Go to www.wordpress.com
▪️  Click on "Start Your Website"
▫️Enter your "Email, Your preferred Username and Password"
▪️ Enter a "Domain Name you'll like to use e.g MyFashionHub"
▫️ Choose the "Free Plan and select. e.g myfashionhub.wordpress.com"
▪️ The next interface will show you premium plan. However click on "Start with a Free site."
▫️ Congratulations "you're done with the creation of a WordPress website"

FOR BLOG:
▫️ Go to "www.blogger.com"
▪️ Click on "Create Your Blog"
▫️ Enter your "email"
▪️ Enter your "password"
▫️ The next interface is Blogger Profile. Enter your "Display Name e.g My Fashion Hub"
▪️ Click on "Create New Blog"
▫️ Enter your Blog Title e.g "My Fashion Hub and Blog Address e.g myfashionhub"

You can leave the color/theme for now.

▪️Click on "Create Blog"
▫️Congratulations you're done with the creation of a Blog.

HOW DO I EDIT AND LINK MY POST TO UNN WEBSITE?
In editing your website or blog, simply go through the following steps.

FOR WORDPRESS:
▪ Click on the "top-left hand" where you see a "W symbol"
▫️ Click on "Post"
▪️ Click on "Add New Post"
▫️ For Title: Attach the Title of what you want to post.
▪️ For the Body of the Work: Attach your writeup.

 For example: You can simply copy a post from UNN WEBSITE (www.unn.edu.ng) and paste it on your own website.

▫️ For Linking: Simply copy the *URL* of the website. E.g https://www.unn.edu.ng/the-45th-matriculation-ceremony/
And attach at the end of your work.

▪️You can also use the Link Icon (🔗) and put in the URL you copied.

Note: You can also attach images, bolden, italicize, preview your work and others, using the interface.

FOR BLOG:
▪️Click on "New Post"
▫️Where you see "POST", enter your Post Title.
▪️ For the Body of the Work: Attach your writeup.
▫️ For Linking: Simply copy the URL of the website. E.g https://www.unn.edu.ng/the-45th-matriculation-ceremony/
 For example: You can simply copy a post from UNN WEBSITE (www.unn.edu.ng) and paste it on your own website.

▪️You can also click on "LINK" (It glows blue on the page) and put in the "URL" you copied.

Note: You can also "attach images, bolden, italicize, preview your work" and others, using the interface.

HOW DO I VERIFY MY BLOG

Simply follow the steps below:

▫️Click on unn.edu.ng
▪️Click on UNN PORTAL at the Top Right Corner
▫️Click on STUDENT BLOG UPDATE
▪️Enter your USERNAME. The username is your STUDENT REGISTRATION NUMBER.

 Note: At this stage be very careful when entering your details as not to make mistakes.

▪️ You'll see your "Profile Details"
▫️ If you don't have a "CGPA and COURSE WITH ISSUES/MISSING RESULTS (IF ANY), leave it blank"
▪️Enter Your "Correct Blog Address"
▫️Enter Your "Correct Website Address"
▪️Enter Your "Next of Kin Full Name"
▫️Enter Your "Next of Kin Phone Number"

 Note: Ensure that information provided are correct because they will be verified.

▪️Click on "Next"
▫️ Congratulation you're done with the creation, linking and verification of your website and blog.
▪️Ensuse to save and print it out your exam admit slip.
